The interview process will normally
consist of a 30 minute to 4 hour meeting with an attorney / lawyer (Mr. Weber)
at our Houston office, and a second
15 to 45 minute meeting with a legal assistant.
The length of the initial meeting with Mr.
Weber will vary depending on the type and complexity of the case.
 |
For Chapter 7
cases involving mostly consumer debts,
the initial meeting will normally last between
30 and 45 minutes.
|
 |
For Chapter 11
(small business)
cases, the initial meeting can last anywhere between
2 and 4 hours.
|
 |
For Chapter 13
cases involving mostly consumer debts,
the initial meeting will usually last between
45 minutes and 1 1/2 hours.
|
During the initial interview, Mr. Weber
will discuss all aspects of your case, including whether a bankruptcy
filing is appropriate, the form of bankruptcy relief which is proper
(normally either Chapter 7, 11 or 13), alternatives to bankruptcy, the
bankruptcy process, and credit considerations of a bankruptcy filing.
Following the interview with Mr. Weber,
you will normally meet with a legal assistant to review some additional
bankruptcy paperwork that must be completed in order to properly process
your case.
